NIPT is a DNA test on maternal blood to screen pregnancies for the most common fetal aneuploidies (chromosomes 21, 18, 13). Fetal sex is determined upon demand.
The test is performed on a maternal blood sample which contains DNA from the fetus.
More info on NIPT is available on: www.DOWNsyndromeNIPT.net.
10 ml blood in specific blood tubes provided by GENDIA is required from the mother.
Usually you receive the NIPT result through email in about 2 weeks.
